It’s not time for jubilation. I think it’s time for hard reflection on how we got here.
Part one of four! Is America losing its faith?
This week Jonathan and Charley talk about what pastors and others wear to church and why. It is not just the sneakers that matter, but it gets the conversation started.
As someone who wants to be actively anti-racist, it’s incumbent on me to reach out and to educate myself. But it’s NOT incumbent on the black community or any other people of color to make that easy for me, or to package things up in a palatable package.
This week, Jonathan and Charley talk about Holy Week, why it is important and different ways to approach it.
Whichever parts of Holy Week you partake in, I urge you to drink deeply, both of the joy and of the sorrow.
The Last Supper, however is not important to Jews. Nor should it be. It’s not a part of their experience, nor their faith.

Does scripture say you can’t have nice things? Or that you shouldn’t be wealthy? No! But it does teach us that what we do with our resources and where we put our focus says much about our relationship with our God and with our world.
