Thank you to everyone who attended Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Easter Services and events.
We had a quite a grand time, from the annual waving of the Palms through the lovely soup and bread supper of Maundy Thursday. If you made a soup, I can confirm that it was GOOD FOOD. If you brought dessert, though it may not have looked exactly like the last supper, it certainly was festive! Thank you.
Special thanks to the Deacons who read our Tennebrae liturgy, as well as Colin Hennessy for providing some extra assistance. As usual, it was a moving and dramatic service.
Easter Sunrise was glorious, but you’ll have to take my word for it. I forgot to take any pictures. If you were there and have some photos, please send them along to Pastor Charley so he can share them here.
Charley arrived back at church to find Jason Honey, Michael and Colin Hennessy and Stephen Coldwell already whipping the kitchen into shape for the Easter Breakfast. Thanks as usual to Katherine the Quichemaster for filling out the menu. Thanks to all who served, and especially to all who helped with clean up.
Easter Worship was a glorious, and we closed with the annual singing of the Hallelujah Chorus from The Messiah. The Easter Egg hunt on the church lawn reminded us of the good old days, and the kids loved it too.
