Game Night Returns This Sunday at 6pm

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!

-Psalm 118:24 (ESV)

Why Play?

Life is busy. Life is full. It has ups and downs, joys and heartbreaks. Sometimes, life fills with pressure when there are too many things we need to get done. Ironically, when I’m busy and stressed, one of the best things I can add to my calendar is some time for games. Play is a relief, and it’s as true at 80 as it is at 8.

Some find joy in video games on consoles like an Xbox or a Playstation—or my favorite, the Nintendo Switch. Others prefer to zone out with simple games on their phones. I like all forms that games come in, but what I love the most are the ones I get to play around a table with others. The conversation and moments of connection are all a part of why I love this hobby.

For most of the program year, from September through June, we play games on the first Sunday of the month at 6pm.

So feel welcome! You don’t have to know any games to start. We’ve got plenty to share. We usually bring something to eat at 6pm and get playing by 6:30 or so. Guests are welcome anytime and this is an intergenerational gathering. We generally play games appropriate for ages 6 and up!

Thanks to everyone who’s enjoyed our game nights in the past, and we look forward to more fun and fellowship in the new year!
