Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
Luke 24:5b-7 (NRSV)

Thanks to everyone for making Palm Sunday so special, now it’s time to look ahead…
It was a great celebration! We waved our palms, we thrilled to great music from the band, and we had a great message and sense of connection in our worship. The story of Palm Sunday is always a celebration, but it can feel like the calm before the storm, knowing that it sparks the events of Holy Week that take us from Jesus’ triumphal entry back to Jerusalem…and all the way to his death on the cross
A Holy Week without Maundy Thursday just wouldn’t feel right, so we hope you’ll join us for this special night.
Maundy Thursday
This Thursday, April 17th we’ll be celebrating the story of the Passion of the Christ. We begin with a soup and bread supper at 6pm, and then the service starts in the sanctuary at 7pm. This solemn retelling by candlelight will end with our traditional rendition of “Where You There” by Pastor Charley, and it will definitely be a night to remember.
Easter Sunday
6:30 am Sunrise Service at Hopkinton State Park Marina with United Parishes of Southborough–this year Rev. Stephanie Bradbury of St. Mark’s Episcopal will be bringing the message. Last year we enjoyed a glorious sunrise and frolicking wood ducks as our back drop. If you’ve not been up and out in nature at 6:30 in a while, here’s a chance for a magical morning to begin your Easter celebrations.
8:30 am Pancake Breakfast in the Pilgrim Church Fellowship Hall with coffee and tea service beginning at 8:15. Come join us for food and fellowship, and let us cook you breakfast! What a great way to keep the celebration going.
10:00 am Easter Sunday Worship, where we’ll fling open the shutters and let the resurrection light in. Join us for inspiring music and a chance to connect with friends old and new. This Sunday’s focus scripture will be Luke 24:1-12, where the women who knew Jesus arrive to minister to him and find the tomb empty. We hope to see you there.
11:00 am Easter Egg Hunt and Fellowship Time, “rain or shine, the eggs we’ll find!” We close out our Holy Week celebrations with something sweet and a chance for the kiddos to search for eggs. Join us and help cheering them on!
