October 7th has become a Day of Infamy, with the anniversary marked by services and hopefully, the nearing end of a conflict in Gaza.

The term itself is a good tool. But in faith, we deal in uncertainties all the time. In fact, I’ve warned many from the pulpits where I’ve preached: don’t assume anyone with easy answers is right. Faith is a practice, a set of habits that grow in utility over time as we use them more.
We don’t get to control outcomes, but we can put our hearts in the right place to be supportive. Prayer can be a big part of that.
We should consider that justice and peace are linked forever in the work of Jesus. It’s not always comfortable work, but it’s very important.
