Welcome to the Spire! We’re Glad you Found Us

I will put my laws in their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.

-Hebrews 8:10b (NRSV)

The Spire is Dead…Long Live the Spire…

A while back we mentioned that The Monthly Spire newsletter was sunsetting after many years in print. The point was not to make us less connected, but rather more. Well since that announcement a few of your fellow members and staff have been thinking about how best to reach our congregation with important news and events. .

Catherine Weber, Steve Coldwell, Debbie Rowe, Sarah Whiteman, Dawn Sorensen, and Rev. Charley are all engaged in conversations about how to put the focus RIGHT HERE! The first meeting of our new Marketing and Branding Team happens this week.

We know this is a post-writing, image-focused world. The fact is, the best way to communicate outside of filming a video is through writing. Look at the Hebrews passage above, where God’s law is written on their hearts. Pilgrim is in your heart, we know, but we want to be sure you know what Pilgrim is up to!

In 2023, The Blog is KING!

And that’s a good thing. Going forward, this blog is where you’ll get most of your news about what’s going on at Pilgrim. Bookmark this page and share it with friends. Sure, you’ll still get weekly articles from Charley. You’ll still hear from guest contributors. But you’ll also be able to read about EVERYTHING that’s going at here at Pilgrim.

Charley will post notes. Debbie will post announcements. Dawn and the CE team will let you know about children’s programs. Annual Meeting notices, Council reminders, activities, opportunities, it all goes RIGHT HERE.

That includes programs and things you’re a part of at Pilgrim Church. If it’s news, you should have it posted here. So, quick quiz: you’re planning an event, and you want church members and local residents to come. Where should you make sure it’s posted?

HERE.

Going forward, our Facebook, Instagram and other social media efforts will link back to this blog. It’s your one-stop-shop for what’s about to pop at Pilgrim Church.

Clear? Now bookmark this page and share it with a few friends who will want to know what’s happening at Pilgrim Church. And stay tuned for more from our Marketing and Branding Team. We’re excited!
