“Prayer in action is love, Love in action is service.” – Mother Teresa

This quote by Mother Teresa is one of several that I use to start a meditation, a time of reflection or a simple realignment during the day. It provides a wonderful serene sense of purpose and focus for me amid the often frantic pace of daily life.  

Where did the disciples find their sense of purpose and focus as they followed Jesus and later tried to continue his work amid opposition and turmoil? Perhaps it was through his patient love, his service to others, or his leadership of action and personal sacrifice.

As we begin our Stewardship campaign for 2023, please use your moments of prayer to reflect on how we can also be disciples of love, action and service as we support the many wonderful things that comprise Pilgrim Church.
