As we continue with the holiest week of the year, we’d like to invite you to our special services at Pilgrim.
We had a glorious Palm Sunday service this past Sunday, and the Spirit was moving from the first notes of music. We had an anthem that featured both the Children’s and Adult Choirs, with help from our Bell Choir and Sarah Douglas on flute. It was glorious! Thank you to everyone who helped to make the service of the palms so special.
Next up is our Maundy Thursday Soup and Bread Supper. It begins at 6pm, followed by worship at 7pm in the sanctuary.
As this is the distribution night for the Food Pantry, we’ll be sectioning off space for soups and then eating in the Parlor, the office, and other spaces. It’s a moveable feast, and a lot of fun! After that, we gathering in the sanctuary for our Tenebrae. We read the story of the passion of Jesus and extinguish candles as we approach the moment the crucifixion. We leave in silence, steeling ourselves for the wait until Easter morning…
Easter Morning begins at Hopkinton State Park Boat Launch at 6:30am. Reverend Charley Eastman will be preaching during this inspiring early morning Sunrise Service.
Once you’ve had enough ducks and gorgeous nature views, swing by Pilgrim Church at 8:15am for our Easter Pancake Breakfast. This celebratory dinner has been a real hit over the past few years. It’s a tremendous reward for those willing to get up so early!
Our 10am Worship in the Pilgrim Sanctuary will remind us that Christ is Risen…He is Risen, Indeed! We will celebrate with great music, and a message of hope that Reverend Charley has titled, “Rejoice!” This is a great service to bring along friends and family to, and we look forward to celebrating with you all.
Finally, our Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place after worship around the Pilgrim Church Grounds.
Join us for fun and fellowship as we celebrate the Good News of the Resurrection for a world in need of hope!
