What a celebration we had for Music Sunday this week!

Thank you so much to all our choir members for contributing your time and talent to making worship special. We had lovely anthems from the Pilgrim Church Choir and from the Pilgrim Church Bell Choir. Highlights this week included “What a Wonderful World” and, of course, “Dancing Queen.”

We had a very special moment of prayer remembering musicians who have passed as well. They live on in our hearts and in the great musical moments they gave us.

And thought they didn’t appear this Music Sunday, our worship has also been enriched this year by the Pilgrim Church Band. Thanks to all our volunteers and special guests who make music at Pilgrim so inspiring.

Of course, there wouldn’t be a program at all without Monica and Carla!

Monica Corey directs our vocal choirs (adults and kids) and plays in the bell choir. She also organizes and often plays in the Pilgrim Church Band. Carla Mason sings in that band, the vocal choir, and directs the bell choir. Without their efforts we wouldn’t have such high-quality music at Pilgrim.

Hats off to both of them for another great year. We had a lovely moment at the end of worship recognizing both of them, but it’s always in season to say thanks when you see them! Thanks again everyone, and keep singing…and dancing!
