Almost every week from September through June, Pilgrim Church offers you two opportunities to to go deeper with scripture

The first opportunity comes right to your inbox if you’re signed up for the Thursday update email newsletter, and that’s our own Marji Warfield’s Scripture Review. Marji provides the full text of the scripture we’ll share on Sunday, then she offers historical context and some ideas about the themes in the reading. It’s often different from the direction that Pastor Charley winds up taking in his message, but that’s great. You get more, not less!

In addition to this helpful review, we’ve also got a face-to-face experience of the passage each week during our Bible Conversations group meeting Sunday mornings at 8:45 am in the Church Parlor. This group has met for years at Pilgrim Church, but you can drop in any time. We read the full text (or texts) for that day and we get into it! Pastor Charley provides some guiding material for discussion. Sometimes we go over some of what Marji wrote about in her Scripture Review for the week.

But we always have great conversations and we always learn from one another.
